Happy New Year!!

What better way to start off the new year than with a delicious, healthy black eyed pea recipe! This is a tasty hot dip my husband and I made to get our traditional black eyed peas in.

Ingredients:
-2 cans of black eyed peas
-1 cup of salsa
-1 diced onion
-2 jalapeños (sliced)
-1 cup cottage cheese (processed)
-2cups sharp cheddar (reduced fat)
-hot sauce and pepper to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Strain and rinse black eyes peas.
Process cottage cheese in a food processor to break up curds.
Put all ingredients in pan and mix throughout.
Bake for 20-30mins
